 Apple Watch Series-6

Apple unveiled Apple Watch Series 6, which has a groundbreaking Blood Oxygen functionality that provides consumers with even more information into their overall health. The Apple Watch Series 6 features a speedier S6 System in Package (SiP) and a next-generation always-on altimeter, as well as the company's most colorful assortment yet, with a gorgeous palette of new case finishes and bands. Family Setup, sleep monitoring, automatic handwashing detection, new workout categories, and the option to curate and share watch faces are all part of watchOS 7, which encourages users to be more active, remain connected, and manage their health in new ways.

According to Jeff Williams, Apple's chief operations officer, the Apple Watch Series 6 "totally redefines what a watch can accomplish." “With powerful new capabilities like a Blood Oxygen sensor and app,1 Apple Watch becomes even more indispensable by giving you more insight into your overall health.”

Performance and design

The Apple Watch Series 6 enhances performance with revised hardware that crams even more functions and power into the same incredibly compact form factor. The updated S6 SiP runs up to 20% faster thanks to a new dual-core processor based on the A13 Bionic in iPhone 11, allowing apps to start 20% faster while preserving the same all-day 18-hour battery life. 2 The Apple Watch Series 6 also includes the U1 chip and Ultra-Wideband antennas3, allowing for short-range wireless positioning to support new experiences like next-generation digital vehicle keys.
The Apple Watch Series 6 has a faster charging time of under 1.5 hours and longer battery life for tracking specific workouts like indoor and outdoor runs.

When the user's wrist is down, the improved Always-On Retina display on Apple Watch Series 6 is up to 2.5 times brighter than Apple Watch Series 5, making it considerably easier to read the watch face in bright sunshine. The user can now access Notification Center and Control Center when their wrist is down, tap on complications, and slide to change faces without having to wake their watch screen.

The Apple Watch Series 6 is still available in 40 and 44mm sizes, and it features the same thinner, smaller body as the Series 4 as well as the low power (LTPO) OLED Always-On display as the Series 5. When used outdoors, the Always-On display on the Series 6 is 2.5 times brighter than on the Series 5, making it easier to view in bright sunshine.

With the Always-On display of the Series 6, Apple Watch customers can access Notification Center and Control Center, tap on complications, and swipe to change faces even while their wrists are down. Apple has also included a more power-efficient always-on altimeter to the watch face, which can be visible at all times and provides information on elevation changes as tiny as one foot.

The Apple Watch Series 6 is water-resistant and, like previous models, supports Apple Pay purchases. It also contains all of the same health-related features, including blood oxygen monitoring. The Apple Watch Series 6 can measure steps, calories burnt, stairs climbed, and heart rate, as well as take ECG readings, track sleep, detect falls with fall detection, make emergency calls with SOS, and listen out for extremely loud noises.

Apple Watch Series 6 models have a black ceramic and sapphire crystal backing, as well as a Digital Crown with haptic feedback, similar to Apple Watch Series 5. ECG readings can be taken with the Digital Crown's built-in sensors.

The Apple Watch Series 6 features the same U1 chip and Ultra-Wideband antennas as the iPhone 11 models, allowing for a short-range wireless location to support new experiences like digital Car Keys, according to Apple. The Apple Series 6 comes with both GPS and GPS Plus LTE capabilities. Apple Watch variants with LTE support can be used without an iPhone nearby.

Apple Watch versions this year are available in aluminum, stainless steel, and titanium, with new blue and (PRODUCT)RED color options for the aluminum models. Apple Watch versions are available in silver and a dark gray graphite hue in stainless steel, and silver and space black in titanium. Apple Watch Nike and Apple Watch Hermès variants are still available, with new band options on each. Hermès models are exclusively available in stainless steel, while Nike variants are only available in aluminum.

Cost
Along with the Apple Watch Series 6, Apple debuted the Apple Watch SE, a lower-cost model that starts at $279. The Apple Watch SE has the same style as the Apple Watch Series 6, however it lacks a few essential functions to save money. It features the same S5 chip as the Series 5, but it doesn't have an always-on display, is only available in aluminum, doesn't have a blood oxygen sensor, doesn't take ECG readings, doesn't have a U1 chip, and doesn't support 5GHz WiFi. Aside from that, it has all of the standard Apple Watch features, including heart rate monitoring, fall detection, activity monitoring, emergency SOS, Apple Pay support, sleep tracking, water resistance, and more. Like the Series 6, it comes with cellular and GPS options.

Apple Watch Series 6 and Apple Watch SE versions can be purchased at the Apple Store's online store. The Apple Watch Series 6 is priced at $399, while the Apple Watch SE is priced at $279. Apple is also keeping the Apple Watch Series 3 on the market, with prices starting at $199.
